I recently came across a video on my facebook news feed about a girl my age, form Ottawa, who out of nowhere, needs a lung transplant! This chick seems unreal. She seems so positive and grateful for the love and support she is receiving from her friends and family, and even total strangers, yet she is still so sick.
Why do bad things happen to good people? She didn't do anything wrong, she just ended up with some bad luck! She has been posting video's on youtube, trying to raise awareness about the need for organ donors in Canada. I'd say she's doing a pretty sick job so far! Not sure where the idea came from, but she had people tweet to Justin Bieber #BeAnOrganDonor and she got his attention - and HE tweeted it too! Organ donors in Canada shot up by some crazy amount. Cool how something so simple can make a huge difference!
Anyways, I'm just totally inspired by this girl Helene! She is so determined and has a great deal of strength to be working so hard on this. If she is so sick and can do this and I am perfectly healthy, why aren't I doing something to make a difference?
I'll figure something out and get back to you all. In the mean time, check out her website www.alungstory.ca and see how you can help!

So simple
It's funny how the simplest things in life can be so good!
Yesterday I bought a HUGE jar of sweet pickles. In my opinion, they are the best type of pickle out there! I snacked on a few last night and then today while I was in class, I remembered I had that beautiful jar of deliciousness back home in my fridge. I thought for a while about what I could possibly have for lunch that would incorporate those pickles. Then someone mentioned cheese... and there we have it! I was so stoked to get home and make my Extra-crispy Grilled Sweet Pickle and Cheese sandwich, on 12-grain bread! Such a simple thing that is just soo good!
